Overview

The Views Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Oro Valley, Arizona, offers more than just classic American fare—it delivers an experience framed by stunning mountain panoramas. Situated at 1555 E Rancho Vistoso Blvd, this spot capitalizes on its scenic location, drawing locals and visitors alike who appreciate a meal with a memorable view.

Its menu is thoughtfully curated to appeal to a broad audience, showcasing hearty staples like the New York Steak & Eggs, the savory Beef Shaved Dip Sandwich, and the indulgent Grande Nachos. For those seeking variety beyond traditional options, dishes such as Shrimply Delicious Alfredo and the Classic Patty Melt provide a comforting yet adventurous dining choice. The inclusion of dishes like Bagel and Smoked Salmon alongside hearty plates reflects the restaurant’s effort to cater to diverse tastes throughout the day.

The atmosphere contributes heavily to the dining experience. The dog-friendly patio, acclaimed by customers, coupled with the unobstructed views of snow-capped peaks, makes it a favored spot for both casual lunches and special occasions. The open, airy space seems designed to accommodate community members and visiting golf enthusiasts, blending a relaxed vibe with a hint of elegance. However, the service experience can be uneven, especially when the restaurant is crowded, impacting pacing and attentiveness.

The Views Restaurant shines during their breakfast and brunch offerings. Reviewers mention perfectly cooked eggs and freshly made omelets, complemented by classic sides like biscuits and gravy and various potato salads. That said, some dishes and appetizers have drawn mixed reactions; for example, the boneless chicken wings and certain buffet items could benefit from more consistent preparation and freshness. Attention to these details might better match the expectations set by the restaurant's appealing setting.

For visitors planning a special outing—such as a Mother’s Day buffet—the variety and quality of selections like prime rib, crab claws, and jumbo shrimp stand out. The dessert array, especially homemade pies and decadent Brownie Sundaes, tends to be a highlight, making a sweet finish to an otherwise solid meal.

Despite some operational hiccups, including reservation challenges and occasional service delays, The Views Restaurant remains a hidden gem in the Sun City and Oro Valley area. Its strong points are clear—a combination of picturesque scenery, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that balances classic American comfort food with a few inventive twists.

Whether you’re a local resident or an out-of-town guest looking for a reliable spot with spectacular views and familiar flavors, The Views Restaurant offers a well-rounded dining experience. It especially appeals to those who value a scenic backdrop alongside their meal. With a bit more polish on execution and service, this restaurant could solidify its reputation as a must-visit destination in the region.

Beautiful view. Came here for breakfast. The food is good, I had the corned beef hash. The eggs were cooked perfectly but the hash was bland, maybe canned. Marcus was really attentive and friendly.

Took my wife here for the mother's day buffet. I would go back here again. However there are some areas that could use some improvement to justify the $60/person price tag. First their system for making reservations is lacking to say the least. In fairness, reservations are not required but they suggested. I tried doing it online but the website is a mess. Not enough information, no way to make a reservation and broken links. Calling is even worst. First try, no answer, second try got an answering robot that would only allow a voicemail so no reservation. Upon arrival ironically the first question asked was , "Do you have a reservation?" The food was very good but was still not at the $60 level. Primarily because the buffet was not being policed enough to keep things full and fresh. Some choices looked as though they had been sitting awhile looking bewildered, crumbled and dried out. What did make the $60 grade were the prime rib, crab claws and HUGH shrimp. There were custom made omelets, biscuits and gravy, sadly not sausage gravy, bacon, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, salad, macaroni salad, a spicy potato salad, etc. My wife's favorite part was the desert table too many yummys to list but she did sacrifice and made two visits to that section.

The view was good with snow topped peaks on the surrounding mountains. Service was slow but there were multiple parties seated simultaneously. Food was fairly priced see pictures.

Visiting Sun City, OV for the first time. I love the community so far!! People are so nice Stopped for happy hour Wednesday around 4pm-ish. The good: Dog friendly patio Those million dollar mountain views Super sweet young server fella trying his best The bad: Didn’t have my first beer choice, no big deal, got a different one ~ came in a cracked glass Ordered boneless chicken ‘wings’ tossed in Buffalo w/blue cheese dressing. Received dried out balls of Walmart style frozen chicken bits…no buffalo sauce on them and they were out of blue cheese. Gave me ranch, blah This restaurant could be so much better ~ it has the views, the golf crowd, the residents. Would grab a drink there again but no more food if it’s that low quality.

Hidden gem in Sum City. You can’t beat the prices - especially happy hour- and convenience of this restaurant. Always friendly and eager-to-please waitstaff, even when they get slammed a bit. Great view from the patio. Thankful the restaurant is open to non-members!

I was pleasantly surprised! On a whim, we stopped by the Views Restaurant in Sun City for lunch. I had the Rueben with a side of Mac n Cheese. My partner had a vegetable medley topped with grilled salmon. The Rueben was excellent! Rye toast that was nicely toasted on the outside and soft/moist on the inside. The kraut was flavorful and there was a generous portion of tasty pastrami. And the “secret” sauce was so tasty, I asked for more. Overall one of the best Rueben’s I have had in Tucson! The Mac n Cheese was excellent too. Nice and moist with plenty of what tasted like a mix of sharp cheddar and American cheese poured over aldente macaroni, a comfort food winner. My partner’s serving of veggies was quite large and cooked to perfection. Nice and crisp, cooked with a minimal amount of oil. Very tasty! And the grilled salmon was perfect. The service was great too. Friendly waiter and our food arrived quickly. And as the name implies, it’s all about the view of the beautiful golf course and the Catalina Mountains. Very nice! Overall, an unexpectedly pleasant experience. If you have opportunity, give the Views a try.
